Awarded in August of 2016, Clemson University's Starbucks project in the Cooper Library involved a two-story renovation of the existing space on the library’s fifth floor. Possessing a difficult schedule, the work required extensive temporary walls for sound and dust control while the library was in use. The project involved thorough and strategic coordination between the owners, Starbucks, their design team, and equipment suppliers.
Testimonial
Clemson University Housing and Dining would like to think all of the stakeholders that contributed to the successful completion of the Cooper Library Starbucks project. The project's final delivery transpired three days early and well within budget. We are extremely thankful for the work of University Facilities project manager, John Gamrbell, J. Davis project manager, Robert Smith, J. Davis field superintendent Jeff Johnson, and Jake Demint, the project architect from LS3P. The impact of this project on students and employees cannot be underestimated.
