"The Overlook at Chickasaw Point Golf Course was once a clubhouse bar and grill that stood in disrepair for more than a decade. But, Chickasaw residents decided upgrading and making way for the new multi-use event center made sense. “The Overlook offers a great place for golfers and non-golfers in our community to eat and socialize,” says Rick Hach, community leader for the project. “And it will help us show off Chickasaw Point to visitors and people that don’t live here yet. We have designed this building to serve as a gathering place for now and the future.”
J. Davis Construction Superintendent, Frank Pursley, spoke about the building’s overall features. “This new 10,000 sq. ft. event center will serve a growing population with excellent amenities such as a pro-shop, bar and grill, full service kitchen, large deck, a multi-purpose room, activity room, offices for staff, patios, elevator, and 1500 square feet of storage space.” Residents who donated to the project tee’d off a night of celebration at The Overlook and welcomed new guests and friends alike, showing off not only the building’s features, but the warm and friendly personality of this welcoming community."
